I had my wife’s van towed down to J.B. DLCO transmissions based upon past recommendations from others who’ve had work done there. It was the Friday before Christmas and we were worried that we were going to be without our family vehicle for traveling during the Christmas holiday. I spoke with Jeff(one of the owners, It’s a family owned business) and he assured me that they would have it looked at right away and get it fixed quickly. They took a look at it and dropped the transmission and found out that it needed to be rebuilt (some of the gears had basically disintegrated inside, metal everywhere). He said don’t worry we’ll have a guy get right on it and he started to do the rebuild. Well I got a call the next day and they told me I could come and pick it up, I asked what the total cost was it it came in less than what I was quoted! It’s now 1 month later and everything works great and I’m happy as heck! I also love the fact that their warranty is good across the country. I would highly recommend J.B. DLCO to anyone needing transmission work done, they have all the bases covered, courtesy, knowledge (they’ve been there since the 1960’s), speed, price. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

It’s been super dealing with a person such as you ( over long distance). You and I are breed, meaning “our word is our bond”. We need more of this in the world. Most of all, thanks for understanding and helping my son Mark with his car troubles.

I had a great experience at JB DLCO Transmission. The staff was very knowledgeable explaining to me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. The repairs were made in a very timely manner and at the exact cost quoted. My transmission has been working perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone.

I couldn't say enough good things about JB DLCO. My car was a bit more of a handful than anticipated due to a warranty on the water pump that was leaking, but taking advantage of the warranty stood to save me a lot of money on the repairs. They were insanely patient with the phone tag going on between my father, the family mechanic in Bay City (who had installed the water pump back in Nov), the warranty company, and me. Once all of the payments were sorted he got right to work on my car. He was down a mechanic at his shop so I know he worked longer hours than he usually does in an effort to get my car done in a decent amount of time. Always and will forever recommend JB DLCO.

I was amazed how easy the Suburban pulled those hills, with no signs of overheating. I just wanted to let you know that it is pulling my trailer easier than it has for several years. My thanks!

Our 1993 Ford Crown Vic had been grinding, growling, and shuddering for months and we reluctantly faced the fact that we might have to replace the transmission. My husband saw their ad in the Sterling Heights Chronicle and stopped by to see them last month. They immediately seemed to know what he was talking about and suggested that they first try replacing all of the transmission fluid. I brought the car in a few days later and they replaced the fluid. The car drives like a dream now. Feels and sounds like a new car! We are thankful to them for fixing our car and not taking advantage of us.

A very long and overdue thank you note from a stranded female. I cannot begin to thank you enough for your help and especially your kindness shown to me. You probably help many of us gals but I’m the one you took to the store and you helped me pick out the right battery. I am so grateful. I learned a great deal from you. I will get a new battery every two years and I will pass on the kindness to those I meet. This world needs more people like you. You were definitely my angel that day. Thank you very much.

Get some manners Jeff Prior. I know that mechanics can be a little rough but this guy is ridiculous. Owner Jeff is completely rude and disrespectful to customers. I was a fleet customer but every time we had to deal with him he reminds us that he is the only transmission shop in the area that works on our GM transmissions. This last time he told us it would be three weeks to get our repairs done! Says "where else are you going to take it?" VERY rude and crass. In addition he was going to replace the transmission anyways (that is always his diagnosis every time we have dealt with him) and his price was $1000 more than another trans shop we found (that does indeed work on and replace those type of transmissions). I will do everything possible to avoid this guy and his shop and warn others. It is possible that they have some mechanical skills that I haven't seen yet - but just having to deal with this rude, arrogant, and self aggrandizing owner is enough to turn anyone off.

Not only is my car running like new, but you guys really put my mind at ease and made a bad experience a not so bad one. So thank you again.
